I am the owner and operator of Smudge Makeup. In 2014 I attended Marinello School of Beauty in Niantic, Connecticut where I was trained in skincare, waxing, and makeup by the best teachers anyone could ask for.
I spent my hours there practicing my makeup skills on my classmates and clients. When I graduated I was offered an opportunity to work with a Connecticut makeup artist, and I jumped on it in a heart beat. I worked with that company for a couple years gaining experience and confidence in my field. Although working as the lead makeup artist on the team was great, I had a greater vision that I desired to fulfill and Smudge was created.
For fun I enjoy spending time with my family and crafting, especially woodworking.

Lidia is a licensed cosmetologist, who has worked in salons and as a freelance makeup artist. She loves to create all beauty looks, from natural to full glam.

Sarah attended Paul Mitchell in New Haven and graduated in 2015. She has worked in fashion, film, pageantry, and bridal and has been published in several magazines.
For fun Sarah enjoys pursuing her other career which is modeling and acting. You'll often see her as a model for us on social!

Megan has been a licensed cosmetologist since graduating Paul Mitchell school in 2015. She has worked in several salons and freelancing since. She has worked Hartford fashion week with us and has many weddings under her belt.

Adrienne

Adrienne and I met on set of a film that we were both working on. She was telling me how much she enjoyed doing wedding makeup and she's been on the team ever since!
When Adrienne's not tending to her kiddos you can find her in the local theaters and singing. If you're lucky enough you might even hear her sing during your appointment.

Grace has loved doing hair and makeup since high school. She has always enjoyed getting her friends and other dressed up for events. She went to school for cosmetology and has been doing it ever since.
Other than working weddings and in the salon, Grace loves to spend time with her beagles and riding around in her Jeep.

Kristy graduated from hair school in 2000. Since becoming a licensed hairstylist she has worked in several salons. Kristy grew fond of styling for special events/weddings and has been a true asset to our team ever since.

Annie graduated Brio Academy of Cosmetology in 2013. Since graduating she's worked for various beauty teams in CT. When she's not working weddings you can find her behind the Charlotte Tilbury counter at Nordstrom.

SMUDGE
the meaning behind the name
In my native culture smudging is a ceremony that is done in order to purify the body, aura, energy, and space. I have the same concept with my clients. My clients will always leave feeling refreshed and confident. Smudge is all about making everyone feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. It is very important to me that my clients know how beautiful they are without the makeup and that I am simply enhancing their features, not changing them.
